One Response to conflict??????????

  1. RunningBear says:

Make up some characters: a goody and a baddy. They must each have a goal, and the goals must oppose one another. It’s as simple as that.
    Obvious choices include:
    a) Baddy wants to take over the world, goody wants to stop him.
    b) Goody wants to find the magic talisman/sword/book/creature for a good purpose, such as to heal someone, baddy wants to find the magic item for a bad purpose, such as to destroy someone.
    c) Baddy feels threatened by goody and wants to kill them.
but the possibilities are endless. Try to come up with something that’s never been done before!

The confict should be the centre of your story, not the world it is set in, so don’t focus on the magical land too much just yet. Find your conflict and create an appropriate setting for it, that way it will be unique and meaningful.

    Good luck!
