The first time I heard Leona Lewis' wonderful voice was on the You Tube video of her performance of The X Factor singing Snow Patrol's song "Run." I don't believe I've ever heard such a beautifully sung song by any female artist since, even as much as I love Florence Welch. Leona took my breath away. She has since become a wonder that everyone cannot help but appreciate. This 2009 album Echo which is as remarkable and timeless as is Leona, the "Gold Standard" by which everyone else is measured.

I had never heard of Leona Lewis until she appeared on The Ellen Degeneres show and performed this song. It bears up extremely well to repeated listening, both musically and in meaning.
