Swastika? The only thing you know about it is what you have seen in hollywood movies. Why don't you pick up that history book, the one you get free in junior high and later have to pay for in college, and learn some actual history.

Why did people put black arm bands on? When was the first red ribbon used to make a political statement? What did the first yellow ribbon signify?

Check out some history on the Roman empire(s) when it comes to symbolism and you might just be surprised what you find.
