If you notice carefully, he does a couple runs which involve hammering the bottom two strings and letting them ring open. It sounds like the low string was an E and the 2nd string was a B.
Of course, I can't say anything for certain, and I certainly don't contest the fact that it's really rather irrelevant; the music is incredible.

i agree with you but i was refering to the tunning he was in =) not the key thought the tunning sounded like open F, ethier way its beautifull and thats an understatment.

E major. He modulates between the major and minor keys (E - C#m) a few times, but doesn't change keys apart from that modulation.

It's called listening, dopey twatbag. He was playing a acoustic guitar, with no accompaniment, and mostly using tap ons and harmonics. Of course they were quiet you fecking idiot. How else were they supposed to hear him?

This was a show in Quebec where they would let you perform on TV if your tape was good. That's why the audience is so quiet, but then again all they could do was pick their jaw off the floor. Truly a memorable eposide.This guy got so much people raving about his music that he had to come back twice I think. The Airtap video is from the same show.
