Russians have the advantage in a war against the US?!? Dont forget that the Russian Gov't collapsed during the Cold War because they couldnt haul more coal into the fire as the US could. All of their military technology is Cold War Era. Example, their Navy. Nobody in Russia wants to be in the Navy because the ships SINK! F-22 and the B-2 Bomber would Annihilate Russia. Stealth is key and the US wins. Its like they say "You cant hit what you cant see". Advantage Russia?!? PLEASE!!! LOL

manueverability at mach 2 isn't much of an advantage i doubt many dogfights will happen at the speed

the naval and air superiority of united states are unquestionable. But in a War, the russians have an advantage. They're not as a democracy as the united states are.If the americans did not supported the iraq and afghanistan losses. Imagine the concequences of a War with the russians.Then, the superiority of the F-22 will be relevant at the beggining of a campaign...And, I heard that the north american congress are considering put an end on the production of the f22s due to the crises,,

ok your right i will admit i was wrong but your wrong as well the first deployed aircraft in the russian inventory to use thrust vectoring was the su-30 which was put into service around 96. i agree that thrust vectoring is not going to win a dog fight alone, but pilots that have used this technology for 11 years before a us fighter entered service with it leaves the us pilots at a disadvantage, don't you think. its just my opinion.

The F22 is the symbol of American Air Superiority. Yes the SU37 and the SU47 are sweet but the fact is if we got in a war right now...we would own those fighters. Why? Easy...who has more advanced AWACS then the US?..Oh wait...no one..

iF YOU CHECK YOUR HISTORY X-31 was the frist plane to use thrust vectorin in 1985. It was a technology demostraror like the SU-37 jUST 20 YRS BEFORE THE SU-37 thrust vectoring will not win dogfights by itself thas why the f-22 onlu has a limited degree of thrust vectoring
