no, it's just that the streetscum are more visible. How do you know that your boss isn't snorting cocain? would you be able to tell if your entire block was addicted to smack? know any alcoholics? if so, do they look the part?

Hey don't forget it's legal to ruin your life by doing something as trivial as eating cheeseburgers. I'd guess that unhealthy diets kill far more people than any illicit drug. Let's not forget about the social stigma that comes from being fat, which rivals the stigma associated with drug use. Oh the hypocrisy of it all. Perhaps we should just make everything potentially harmful illegal and force everyone to live in rubber boxes!

since i live in thailand and have some firsthand info i'll explain u
1) busted with less than 20 grams (of H) in the airport is worth up to 45 years
2) between 20 and 100 grams is = 45 to life
3) over 100 gr = death
BUT
if u plead guilty death -->LIFE
and basically,m after 8 years of sentence u can go back to your country that normally let you do some months yeas and then let you out;

I just have to remind everybody that 8 years in thai prison is hell of experience.

So true! example:My husband and I used to snort cocaine everyday, one day while we were snorting away I remember how he saw someone on the news who had got busted by the police for having cocaine(they were pretty rough looking,not well dressed in the latest fashion,etc)and my husband got this disgusted look on his face and said "look at those crackheads",lol,I looked at him and said they got caught doing exactly what we are doing now and the only thing he could say was well we are different.huh?

Ok, not every drug addict is a pathetic low-life. But I'll settle for 99.9%. Drug addiction leads to street muggings and burglaries, daily events that ruin people's lives just for more smack. And yes, drug addiction can happen to anyone, but it's the stage after that when they've fully transformed into an addict that they become low life scum.

And the "New World" was actually partly discovered because Spain wanted to get to Asia for their gold and Opium.
So without drug addiction, North and South America may not exist.

Wow, I was reading these comments and it's quite disheartening to see how ignorant people are about drug addiction.Being addicted to drugs or anything else does not make one a dirty, pathetic low-life, et cetera. Drug addiction can happen to anyone.

Before you say anything against addicts or even occasional users, educate yourself.

Also, if you're going to post a comment on this, please learn how to spell/use correct grammar.
