That was a tough year for her at the grammys competition wise. This should've won for the song writer's aweard, but unfortunately it was up against Didn't We Almost Have It All by Whitney Houston. If one of the two was a year later, or a year before, she would've won. She's great. I love this song.

i remember. this was the song i would listen to all night long (2001-2002) whenever i worked late nights in the office - back in india. well, playing music wasn't allowed in the office, but somehow i always managed to have a copy of this song on my computer. and when the entire floor was almost empty, i would slowly turn up the volume. some friends would come around and listen to it in awe. such beautiful music, such a soothing voice. funny i still remember those good old days ...

I'd recommend everyone to watch the original music video and hear the original song. There's more to it than just day to day survival. Hope, broken dreams, and resilience. There's a lot of symbolism to it...and especially in the bridge and at the end where it changes and she says "YOU gotta make a decision." She's tired of living this way and has already made up her mind to move beyond it, and now she's telling her boyfriend that it's his turn to either break free or just "keep on driving"
