SAGA - The Flyer (Video Clip)

This original video clip may be of interest especially for the real fan: The soundtrack differs from that on "Silhouette" in so far that on this one a few more guitar-fill-ins can be heard if you listen carefully:-)

Superband. I liked the symphonic rockscene those days, especially thanks to Saga. There were many others of course, but '83 and Saga's present designed the rest of my life, how silly that may sound. 83/84 was a period in my life I felt lost too often, but Saga was always there and kept me alive, somehow. I will never forget that. 25 years later I track down their vid on Youtube and the feeling is still there. Thanks, Saga.

Interesting. Haven't seen this clip in over 20 years, but I know the track by heart from the Heads or Tales album. There's a LOT of extra guitar fills from Ian Crichton on this version.

Yeah! Rock on! This band is from Oakville, Ontario Canada where I live! Hell, I think one of the members went to my high school. Love this song

I sure wish a compilation of videos by Saga will get released in the U.S., in their original mixes.

"He would come to her when he was ready, but she was not waiting for him to make his move. She wanted to feel life. Live life."

Finally, a song that I've never heard of, that I've stumbled upon, and that I'm very satisfied with. You just don't hear that anymore these days. New music is terrible, and the classics are hard to find :(

did you really had no chance for a concert in canada? Very sad.
Here in germany they've had great success in the eighties and they have been on tour very often until last year.
But now, i think it's all over because Michael Sadler left Saga for personal reasons at the end of 2007 - he has been the voice and the heart of Saga.
So the band will do very hard to continue without him.

Saga is awesome, I would go to their concert but they are never coming around here.

There's an excellent CD store in Cuyahoga Falls, OH called Time Traveller on State Rd. that will have the Saga stuff as well as just about any other great prog rock(and just about anything else) you may be looking for. Hope this helps you out!

....I only saw them once... I wanted to say of course ! ;-))
forcemajeur17 (April 27, 2008 at 8:59 am)
Yeahh...that was my youth ! What a band ! This song is on my all-time-favourite-list. Unfortunately I only saw them live, I think in 1985, whilst their "Wildest Dreams"-Tour in Cologne, Gemany. But that was not a good concert at all. The sound was horrible and Loverboy who were the support killed Saga with an even better gig. But anyways, I´ve always been a fan and I´m sure they will come back. Mind my words ! Saga rules ! Chris

One of my faves in the 80's, i remember this video on old much music and video shows. Saga had a great sound, you guys are right in saying theyre underrated, thankfully every now and then they still pop up on radio.
lostone51 (February 27, 2008 at 8:23 am)
Seen them twice live back in teh 80's..great show especially with the synth drum ball they threw into the audience!Sad to hear the lead-singer has stopped...no more live gigs
petesteeler (February 17, 2008 at 5:10 pm)
I cannot buy Saga records because there are no record stores that sell them. I like so many of there songs. They are one the best bands.
Celestein (February 16, 2008 at 5:26 pm)
Actually, even in Canada they are underrated. Apparently, they are huge in Europe, even now.
ftboy41 (February 9, 2008 at 5:50 pm)
Cool tune from a great band. Underrated.
