Here's the short version...

We're launching our 31 Days of the Dragon giveaway contest today (check out www.31daysofthedragon.com for more details on the other 30 sites involved with this).

This is a pimped out-to-the-max HDX9200 notebook PC worth about $5000 if purchased at retail. The laptop features an Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 CPU (2.8 Ghz), 500 GB ofstorage (2 x 250 GB hard drives), 4 GB of RAM, integrated HDTV tuner, fingerprint reader, nVidia GeForce 8800M GS with 512 MB of RAM, a 20.1 inch WUXGA screen (1080p, 1920 x 1200), and lots more. The software bundle includes Office 2007, three Blu-ray DVDs, and more. I'm reviewing it, but when I'mdone (on or around the 17th of May), I'm giving it away to one of YOU.

This laptop has been discontinued - the new version of it is the HP HDX 16t or 18t, with 16" and 18" screens respectively. I just received the 18t model a week ago so I'll be doing an unboxing/review of it in a few weeks...after CES 2009.

Messages like yours are why I think YouTube should have an IQ test before accounts are allowed to post comments. The HP imprint finish on the HDX9200 is called the "dragon" finish. When HP was making this product, I believe it was code-named "The Dragon". When HP people talked to me about the product, they called it "The Dragon". The promotion giveaway was called "31 Days of the Dragon". So guess why I was calling it the Dragon?

it is a shame it is not more portable as i would consider getting it, it seems hp is taking a small intrest in design for once. great video :)
