Drum solos aren't suppose to be freaking hard all the time. They just need to sound good. And what does the skills matter if he knows how to make it sound awesome?

Now i already understand that I couldnt do what lars ulrich does in terms of being one of the biggest selling bands of al time. fair enough. BUT i honestly believe in myself that I could play what he just played. It wasn;t hard in any way. anyone with a slight bit of drumming knowledge would tell you. your gadd's, weckl's etc. they are amazing. but sadly lars, you are not.

why dont some of you, before criticizing lars ulrich, go to google and search top rock drummers. you will see that his name comes up a lot. NONE of you will ever be as good at something as he is at drums...i mean obviously, look how big the crowd is watching him

Not every one searches for this shit. Sometimes it just comes up alongside whatever you are searching, and you choose to watch it thinking it might be worth your time, only to discover that it's not. Metallica is one of the biggest metal bands or all time. That only stands because they made four great albums in the Eighties. By the way, you found it necessary to read a bunch of these posts and comment on one of them. You, pot, other guy, kettle. If you don't like it, then fuck off.

I know there are lots of other drummers out there that can play bad ass without the goal of making peoples brains explode. Daniel Svensson, Alex Van Halen, Vinnie Paul, Charlie Benante, Igor Cavalera and Jason Bittner to name a few. The difference between Lars Ulrich and all of them is, that they all have talent. Igor, is a perfect example of a drummer that sucked at first, but took the time to improve his playing. Now he's a really great drummer. Lars hasn't done that, so he still sucks!
