I bought this kind of lettuce. I love it. The leaves are kind of wimpy rather than crispy, but nonetheless they are fascistly lacking in imperfections. If vegetables have souls, this lettuce sure doesn't, so you can chew away and not feel bad about the poor lettuce.

That's more sterile than my vascectomy

In the true fashion of the Road Trip, we're going to have to visit the school for the blind and tell them that we're there to pick up one of their buses for maintenance. That should give enough room for the belly dancers to do their thing, during the drive. It sure would be pretty cool to tour such a facility. Impressive operation, indeed. Let me know when you have some vacation time saved up. Stay in contact with those belly dancers, too. I'm sure that they love lettuce.

I think that some of the large ones are in Canada. Road trip, huh? Like the idea? Let's figure out where they are located. I'm in Kansas. I'd love to be able to work you into the road trip. There is a slight problem. When driving for such long distances, music selection can sometimes be an issue. I'll be honest. I'm not really a big belly dancing music fan. I prefer alternative. I'd certainly be more obliging if the belly dancers were to accompany the music. Yes, I saw your favorites page.

Almost five times the yield. That is one fine operation. Can it be done with organic fertilizers? That is one kick ass facility. Wow.

jaystreete (May 22, 2008 at 10:09 pm)
this is a perfect way to grow crops! less contamination of both the plants and the environment and it yields more food. Brilliant.

How about plants that depend on symbiosis with fungi?
Roah26 (April 20, 2008 at 2:53 am)

interesting video...
but how are seeds really collected? are there organizations that do this type of work (analyze and sort various seeds for distribution to crop producers)?
