Yeah and I understand that but I've been watching all of the "arguing" about cook kinda since it started with Paulphins and she is kinda right about how she would've stopped commenting a long time ago if everyone would stop commenting her. I mean if I was her, I wouldn't just stop commenting back when everyone is commenting me back. But I know what you're talking about.

tebbens1234, I realize that you are an Archuleta fan, but you don't seem to be nasty like this Paulphins character. Everyone is aware that singers want to be emotionally in sync with their music, but if I was to say that Cook was, then he/she would make a nasty comment about Cook. Paulphins just says that to twist things to his/her liking. It just doesn't seem right to camp on Cook's videos and make constant nasty comments. I would never and have never done that to Archuleta's.

It's perfectly rational to say that if one experiences something they can relate to it.

But who are you to say that Cook has any experience of what he's singing about in Light On? He didn't even write Light On, if I'm right. You have no authority over who to say can relate to songs better, unless you have some kind of personal relationship with either David.

Singing is to music as acting is to movies. Singers essentially do close to the same thing as actors. They interpret a song, just like actors are interpreting a script. Singers want to be emotionally in sync with their songs, just like actors want to be emotionally in sync with their characters.

Open up your mind a little bit. Just because things may seem entirely different, doesn't mean there's no similarities.

Well, Paulphins, aren't you a believer in opinions? Here's an opinion: Your simile is apple and oranges and makes no sense! It seems rational that if one experiences something, one can better relate to it. My opinion, of course. Here's another opinion: you have a LIGHT ON, but nobody is home!

In that interview, they asked both Cook and Archie about having a crush. Cook mentioned some movie star and Archie said he never had a crush and did not believe in them.

I knew perfectly well what you meant. I was simply defending that it's silly to say that just because Archuleta maybe hasn't experienced what he's singing about it doesn't mean he doesn't 'feel' his songs. You don't know for sure who can relate to their songs better.

And no, I don't consider acting and singing meaningful songs the same thing, but I do know what a simile is. In order to make a point, two things don't have to be or mean the same thing when you compare them.

and btw he didn't say he's never had a crush he said in an interview once that everyone has them and they asked him if he remembered his first and he thought about it and said no i don't really remember it just because he's never had a girlfriend doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings like that
