aquaman is very right. i agree that with some practice this isn't all that hard, but it's about the feel. stevie definitely classifies as "special" to me. if he doesn't to you, then that's you, but it's about more than just how hard the song is to play

It still just amazes me how SRV had such a wonderful ability to improvise based on feeling. sure he had a basic idea of where the song was going...how it got there was up to him.

Its incredible that we were all blessed to see The true meaning of a great musicians like SRV. I believe he is the best guitarist to ever live. There will has not and will not be another like him for a very long time.

I dont agree with u about this issue mr nevrkenesr.He was a amasing guitarplayer and singer. We lost a great musician that evening back there in 1990!!Its sadly to hear people talking about him that you do!!

I know a lot of you guitar bangers will hate me for saying this but, SRV was extremely overrated. His music is incredibly overplayed. His solo tunes sound very trivial, stock and not particularly visceral (at least as far as blues/rock is concerned) either. Sorry, I honestly feel this way. I was sick of hearing his stuff on the radio 15 years ago and I just dont think he was all that great. Okay, so he could rip through a Hendrix tune live and was a virtuoso musician and all of that
