But what these weapons that only 'look' like killing machines have over the traditional hunting rifle is gas injection and rapid-fire accuracy.
An M-16 is a weapon which is designed to disable a 150-200 lb man. A hunting rifle is a weapon which is designed to kill a 400+ lb animal.
Animals, however, don't see it coming and don't have body armor and don't return fire. The primary benefit to an M-16 is that you can accurately disable your enemy before he hits you.

I for one wish they would use the military to enter all major US cities and terminate all known gang members, drug dealers, etc. Enter all homes, anyone who has evidence of drug dealing is thrown into the street and shot. Anyone who has nothing to hide would love the results. Imagine no more gangs or drug dealers. Then, hunt down all the people who produce drugs abroad and terminate them as well. We are far from martial law. Bill of rights is still in place.

You do realize that "military automatic weapons" means low powered semi-automatic weapon, right? Most hunting rifles are more powerful than 5.56 m-16 and 7.62 ak-47 rounds. Look up truth about ak-47 firepower. These guns are only being banned because they LOOK like killing machines. Currently you can't get a full auto weapon without a class 3 permit which requires fingerprinting, background, etc etc. No one with these legally distributed weapons uses them for crime! Gangs use black market wpns.

Those Democrats always ruin a 'great' thing by dividing it to lesser 'good' things. Starting with Inauguration we're gonna be told to "be patient", then next year we'll be told to "let things take form", and the next year we'll be told it's "almost established", and so by Obama's 4th year he can say "we didn't succeed --but at least we got it started"

What does the gov care how they get thier own guns, whether taking it from citizens or buying it themselves. The money to buy the guns for military are all tax-payers money anyway, one way or the other. If bush wants to make money he has his Carlysle group. tax money goes to his corp. because they sell arms. what part don;t you understand that it doesnt matter iof gov need to pay for their guns or take it away?

people cannot deny it's a conspiracy/plan setup to rob US citizens of their right to own a gun/weapons in many states. And It's been done worldwide, and I wonder why. People weren't killing eachother off on massive scale when they had the right to own guns previously right? So why this sudden turn around in policy, that's the real question. And why isn't anybody asking these questions?

we'll see who's right or wrong. if those FEMA camps are real they are there for a reason not? I wouldn't suspect the justice system to bring in more criminals on a 1000% increased rate to justice, therefore needing all that space. Or want to throw Rave-parties for young people under close watch. Just doesn't make sense. They must be suspecting trouble but from what? Do they know the Rockefellers&co. want to rob people again from their money and assets and try to prevent 1907 all over again?

Guns will always be legal in America, the forefathers wanted it that way and strictly said so in the constitution. Nobody will change that.
However, the forefathers never could have anticipated assault rifles and mac10s. I'm not confusing semi-auto with full auto, I've shot both numerous times. My roommate in college was able to buy a full auto Chinese Kalashnikov at a gun show.
