This is a tutorial my son did last year when he was 7 years old. He wanted to have a go at doing a tutorial after seeing me do a few.He loves to make things and loves using Maya.

This video is excellent. It's hard to find simple, straight-forward Maya tutorials out there, but this one is a pleasure. Thanks!

He is too busy making Planes nowadays but he will get back into 3D Modelling. The blue dots are visible when you go into Face Selection Mode. Watch the video again and you will see how he goes into face mode or vertices mode etcCheers

Not sure about the current version of maya. On V6.0 pressing the G will repeat the last command. So if you extruded a face then selected another face and pressed G, it would apply the Extrude Command. I use it a lot when Merging Vertices.

Super awesome !

I like the bit where he says "About two fingers" Its a measurement that he is giving based on the size of his fingers in relation to the screen!
