yes it does seem like a step in the opposite direction but this is supposed to replace like actual coffee tables, so instead of the nice looking wood one you have in front of your couch, you can have this expensive thing which you probably won't want to put your feet up on... or any hot food

It just seems unpractical.People want smaller computers. Things they can carry at all times.

I was wondering that too! anyway, it turns out that the screen is underneath some touch-able glass, so you can lock the controls and wipe it off.
