Only other religious books back up the bible. No evidence exists that the bible is any more valid than any of the other religions that came before it.Of course no one thinks that science is infallible.That is what is good about it. We question,we LOOK to falsify,we purposefully put ideas under peer scrutiny so that incorrect ideas can be more quickly thrown out and knowledge can progress. The BIBLE pretends to know,and never attempts to falsify. It stifles knowledge, it doesn't embrace it

The bible is not an historical tome my friend and there are actually NO eyewitness accounts in it. The accounts were written by people born at least 60 years AFTER the death of the man they talk about (a man who may or may not have even existed). No historian would take biblical accounting for history for anything but a possible reference for the times but certainly not for a reference of events.

secondly, the Bible, whether you like it or not, is a history book more or less. It's a collection of letters and eyewitness accounts. You talk about being intelligent and educated and going to school. Perhaps you should take a religious studies class at the very least. Most of the world believes in a higher being and you can't just go around throwing out false claims It only makes you look bad

Please stop wasting your time, it is NOT getting you any further in life and if you "think" it does, go back to biology class... and if you still dont get it, GO BACK.

What i hate is that hard-rock christians always back up there beliefs with "well, it is in the bible, it must be true." It seems to me that a bunch of old men made the bible up in order to scare others into not f*cking with them, and i have studied the old testament at length. The more i read the more sceptical i become. (I don't hate christians)Good video though. Bad choice on a much hated topic.

Religion and "god" were just figures for the people way back when in the stone ages to explain why thing happen, ex: the sun rises and then sets. But now there is this thing called science. which then tells us that there really is no god, he was just some "fairy tale character". There have been hundreds of thousands of books publish backing up science and evolution. But all the books that the church published was: a couple (let me repeat myself) A COUPLE!

you call it "historic information" but surely its only that because its been accepted as such and is therefore "normal" to believe so.if i told you i once had sex with a tree, you wouldnt believe me, but if i told you i once had sex with my girlfriend, you'r more than likely believe, despite the fact that i may never have had a girlfriend or could be a virgin. why? because its "normal" and accepted to believe this.

The Bible has many authors that witnessed everything sure most of Genesis is parables but from Abraham on is all historic information plus the Bible isnt a textbook and just because u dont believe dont mock our beliefs because The Bible doesnt contrast science.

Im just being realistic. I mean seriously, whats the chances that theres some higher being that has its own little world where it takes dead people who have had an innocent life? I have alot of religious friends and i have been to church a few times. The stories they tell are nothing more than fairytales. The bible itself is a fairytale. Its a goodhearted story to get people to believe in something that doesnt exist. I understand Christianity and whatnot and i just dont see how its realistic.

Not everything can be explained in evidence, you know that, right? There are things in the world that happen, miracles, if you will that science can never explain. You may think you're being intelligent by not taking a leap of faith, but really you're just sitting on the sidelines to play the cynic. You can't fit God in a test tube, so what? Can you fit love in one? And yet love still exists, we have no proof of it, but that means nothing. There may be fact in science, but there's truth in God.

Well, hun, there is EVIDENCE that the world is round. Now, wheres the evidence that there is a god? And dont say people that have had 'experiences' with 'him' because thats just all in their head. People delude themselves into believing that there is a higher being that created this earth. But it was all science, and thats all it ever will be. So until you find some real proof, there is not god.
