Basicly his voice. Also, this song reminds me of "Waterfront" from the Simple Minds.

It was in 1986 when i first heard wasteland. I remember my sony walkman listening to this song several times. The best music for me was in the 80's. One of the best bands like Ten Ten, The name, The mission, The chameleons, The church etc...

Saw them with the Psychedelic Furs in Ottawa, Canada in 1986 and they still sound fantastic. However, the night I saw them vs. this clip Wayne Hussey was drinking a large bottle of Blue Nun wine. Awesome...

To see some great footage you tube Wayne Hussy on the James Whale show. Pure comedy.

Concur. A few songs were nice but they aren't anything what TSOM was and could have been. Clashing egos: what a drag.

jedphoenixoflondon (July 31, 2008 at 8:52 pm)
Wayne Hussey's wearing a pair of Jed Phoenix of London strap trousers (pinstripe with purple satin lining, if memory serves) that he bought at Dark City in Edinburgh in 2004

Ha! Tell me who could? Andrew changes band members like dirty socks.

This band were never really that good, not that they lacked the talent, apart from a few songs nothing really gelled, shame they couldn't have settled their differences withtheir former sisters bandmate.
reoreason (May 21, 2008 at 6:01 pm)
Good band.

Yeah I saw the mission earlier this year. They were ok until they bought on an old member of the band. A case of two many cooks! - The concert went downhill and descended into a bloody mess. Think the mish have had their day myself.Dont get me wrong Ive seen them a lot of times but they dont have the energy anymore.
