I lost my grandfather 4 years ago. He was a beautiful person and smoking took him from us. He was only 69 years old. It's so hard to refrain from crying when I hear this song. Vince Gill has the perfect voice for this song.

This was played at a funeral I attended yesterday. There wasn't a dry eye in the chapel. She definitely suffered pain...had withered away to nothing. She was such a beauty at one time. Please stop smoking folks.

This song is so beautiful and so appropriate for people who have lost a loved one. We played it at my fathers funeral on January 3rd, played it at my mothers funeral 9 years ago and my brother in law also 9 years ago. My heartfelt thanks to Vince Gill for such a beautiful and tasteful song.

this is really sad.. i found a pic of my uncle in his bed thing that goes in the ground and then this song came on the radio... and i just burst out in tear... it was 7 years on dec. 4 2008.. miss you like crazy Scott... hope to see you soon! kinda.. but not too soon

R.I.P Frank Murray... such a great man, officer,and grandfather... at the memorial one of his police friends came by and the only words he said was "There is a good man laying there..." i couldnt have said it better... Peace be with all those who have lost a loved one...
