the vocalists from both trivium and bullet for my valentine have the same problem. Matts is a sickness that he has (i think laryngitis). But for trivium he blew his voice after a concert. I read an article on it. The next day when they were rehearsing he could not for the life of himself could not scream or growl.

well, if you scream wrongyou'll blow your vocal cords.
there is a right and wrong way to do it.
if you only use your throat than yeah your vocal will get shot. but if you mainly use you diaphram you're all set. i've tried both
and it makes a huge difference.

man shogun is a good album for the fact that he has started screaming again i mean dont get me wrong the crusade was a good album but sucked compared to ascendancy and shogun

i just discovered this band, love them...
i can listen to a song with some screaming, as long as you can tell what they are saying. and yeah if u want to be able to keep singing then dont scream unless you want pop a vocal cord like M Shadows from A7X and have to get surgery. although i like A7X without screaming
