They do, but Trivium sounds like a mix of Slayer and Metallica. I don't think they sound much like Megadeth or Anthrax.

Slayer wasn't exactly "new" persay, they got alot of their inspiration from less popular bands who were doing exactly what they were doing, they just happened to get popular at the time. I'm not into slayer, although I do like reign in blood, but I'll admit that they are incredibly influential.

OK, Slayer doesn't suck.. I'm really not a big Slayer fan, but I think that everyone has to at least admit that they wrote great songs and that they influenced a lot of other great bands.. And Trivium cannot even come close to Slayer's creativity and originallity on albums like "Hell Awaits" or "Reign in Blood" because Slayer always did something new and with Trivium I always get the feeling "I've already heard this, it's nothing special..."
