This song is NOT trash. None of John Mayer's music is. 'My Stupid Mouth' is an incredible song... especially since it's a live acoustic version.

I loveee the album version of this song, and i love John's live performances...this one is just as good as any...but I don't like his transition after the first "starting now"!!! I like the album...where it trails off like he's supposed to be keeping quiet, then it jumps in like he just couldn't wait, had to say something else...like he could act it out....but instead he mucks it into a transition bridge.

I swear people on youtube are relentless sharks waitin to rip somethin apart that they dont actually even understand enough to appreciate. Why always SO negative? john mayer has just begun to display his true form recently. His past music like Room for Squares was far more "celebrity/pop" than his current music. All his music is quality, though. He is pure talent, musical genius and skill. To say that he "sucks" is just completely ridiculous even if you dont prefer to listen to his music.

obviously he's going to become a celebrity when he keeps attaining more and more fame that's inevitable. but he's still a down to earth guy and his singing has improved too.
