Yes, I have no doubt that they are playing the song. However, someone sync'd up the studio version of the song with the live video clip.The video is ~½ second ahead of the audio. You cannot hear the crowd.

Look here. Back then there was no such thing as lip-syncing. People could naturally sing without the use of backtracks and false voices. They are actually playing the music

Even though they were Scottish, they got their name by randomly throwing a dart at a map of the USA. On their first throw, it landed on Arkansas, but they didn't like that. They tried again and landed on Bay City, MI. Weird where some bands get their names.
