On Monday, June 5th, GMR history was made.At the Brewer's/Padres game at Miller Park, four of our best and brightest had the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream...to be the victor in the Sausage Races. Who among us hasn't dreamed of putting on an eight-foot, foam rubber replica of encased meat and running around a packed stadium? For these four, that dream became a reality.
And nobody beats the Polish!

They do now but in 2006 they didn't. The Chorizo raced once in 2006 on Cerveceros Day but was not allowed to race everyday because it violates the MLB rules of introducing new mascots mid-season. I'm not making that up.

wrong you are. it's randall simon who's racially biased and insensitive because he clubbed the italian. if, say, oliver perez were to club the mexican chorizo, there would be much less controversy. plus, simon's penalty was much worse than getting run out of the league...he got traded to the cubs.

I do...these races are racially biased and insensitive. If Cal Ripkin slugged a sausage he would have been lauded for his commitment to good taste. However, when a black man does the same thing he's run out of the league. It's just another example of the sausage conglomerates keeping the black man down. Oh, and George Bush hates black people too. There, I said it...I'm expecting the secrete police to break down the doors at any moment.
