WE have NEVER had a free market in America. Every single corporation is a government agency with government protection, and govt started giving special protection to corporations from 1700s.

What the hell is "OUT OF HAND". What did Enron do? It broke the LAW. It broke regulations. It got away with murder a long time because the LAWS prohibiting Enron thievery were suspended for any energy companies, so they could rob and steal legally.

During America's prosperity and growth, it was controlled democratically, for long term.

(use the system.) I can think of a 100 more but space is limited here. And you should read the real reason for the Great Depression. it was not the "free market" as writen by KAYNSEN theorists. The austrian theory predicted the "Crash of 29" the recession of the 70's and the looming depression we are about to face, so I suggest you take a look at the mises(.org)institute so you won't be blind-sided. I can still make choises in a "free" for all then in "slavery" for all. Hope you fair well.

Government regulates to the bank that they must do the same to "homeowner B" (through regulation) who dosen't meet min. requirements. Then the money they stole from you and I go to helping "Homowner B" by some popularized bill ran through congress on an idiots campaign promise(Redistrabution of wealth, illeagle by the constitution But I digress.) Some of what you call regulation is already law. You have the right to life, liberty and property. If you buy a car under contract of warrantee,the seller must honor it. No need for lemon law regulation. In fact under lemon law the problem must occur three times before the contract is settled. Regulation = bad. Another example. "Homeowner A" works hard to save 20% or more, keep a reliable job, has good credit, and purchases a home.

to punish someone in court there has to be a reason to take them to court - a broken law. if there is no regulation, there is no law = no punishment.
you should read the history of what lead up to the Great Depression. free trade + no regulation caused it, same as today. govt doesnt have to know market needs to protect the people thru regulation.
market needs a framework to operate. otherwise it's a free for all.

You are right but it's not natural. any monitary system without an anchor, is left to the "faith" of its creators. that's why the founders left it to congress (answerable to the people)and tied it to gold and silver (so it can't be inflated or deflated. We have not had a free trade or free market for over 100 years. Government does not know market needs so regulation = the mess we are in. If corporate is getting out of hand punnish them through the court. (best example Enron repayment and jail)
