your wrong. he talks of murdering her in midnight show and jenny was a friend of mine and he breaks up with her in this song. so where exactly is brandon tellin the true story. Mr brightside is a true story about his ex shagging about on him.

Midnight Show is the second part where he kills Jenny and throws her body into the sea.
Jenny was a Friend of Mine is the third part, where the police are asking him about Jenny's murder and he's telling them his side of the story("We took a walk that night, but it wasn't the same.")and("There ain't no motive for this crime,cause Jenny was a friend of mine"),so they're accusing him.
