i got that exact guitar, it sounds so weird with my Distortion Pedal, gives me a weird "thin" sound

Some fools need to quit talkin about the brand, a good player can make a shitty catalogue guitar sound good, Squier are the best budget guitar brand easily.

Affinities just have magnets, but the Standards have alnico magnets (according to website). Maybe they try to not make it too expensive in my opinion. Who knew? Maybe the Standard series are meant for those who live to rock, since mahogany is found in Gibson, and it sounds warmer than alder. A rosewood fretboard too.But whatever. I talked too much, as if I'm a scientist like that Haha. Can't afford a Fender, will get a Squier Standard Telecaster like yours, that rock 'n' roll colour sort of.

Hmm...I have a question on Squiers.I researched on Squier not long before, that the Affinity series are meant for the very new players than the Standard series. But what I just researched was the wood, that plays an important role of tone quality(dark-bright sound).
So I just realised(again), why is the Affinities made out of alder while the Standards is made of agathis? Agathis(commercial grade mahogany) is a cheap wood, but alder is much of a higher quality than agathis. Anyone?

agreed, i also have a squire tele and honestly i like the loosness of it more than the american strat. Great Buy! Must get one if you love stats.

is it worth the money to get this? im just looking for a third electric guitar, but this time, i want it specialized in Blues, Jazz n Rock n Roll... should i get the squier telecaster for $100-600 or Fender Telecaster for $1000-6000?

I'm tired of all the dissing of the squire in the vid. Quit paying attention to the brand and listen to the sound, if that was just an audio file you would never know that wasn't a Fender.
