To answer your question, I think it is just fine for gays for gays to marry.
They're just people, like anyone else. And besides, who gives a rats flying behind about the "sanctity of marriage"? What "sanctity"? A document with a judges official signature saying a couple is wed? Oh yeah. Real big issue if the gays have rights to an old guys penmanship. ;D
