no i think they are saying it was born 4 bilion years ago, if they did then it has a 10 billion year life time so we still hav 6billion more years
FlaviaSantosbr (January 6, 2009 at 8:43 pm)
Are you sure? rrrrrrssssssss.....

1 million years maybe, then the sun dies
draythenaras (January 5, 2009 at 11:03 am)
lol :) I believe you :)
draythenaras (January 5, 2009 at 11:02 am)
Meh, don't worry about it ^^. We wont be here when that happens.

If you supply an infinite amount of time to nothingness, there are two outcomes. Nothing which is infinitely close to 100% probability, and something, which is infinitely close to 0%. Neither is absolute. Therefore, if you supply an infinite amount of time to nothing, an unimaginably vast amount of time, that chance for something random spontaneously happening increases until it becomes a certainty.

ok, i know this isn't really related... but i have to mention it...there was an ad embedded in this vid that was for one of those 'take an i.q. test' sites...

it said "Stephen Hawking's I.Q. is 130, do you think you're smarter than he is?"... anyone else find that suspiciously low? o_O
Damuse8191 (January 2, 2009 at 5:35 am)
God's mother and father? O_o

lol they actally fail in the movie.
The BigBang-theory isn't about an explosion..aw they make it too simple for their viewers.

this is cool
kevmmus (December 31, 2008 at 5:59 pm)
I can explain it. We currently have NO IDEA what happens when a moderately massive object (say, a black hole) is nearby. The precursor to the big bang was very dense and very small (although not a single point), and it had all the mass of the universe packed in one tiny spot. (This means the 1st law of thermodynamics was not broken, because something can be dense without breaking laws) but even if it didn't, science breaks down when you try to measure before planck time because time and space do
kevmmus (December 31, 2008 at 5:55 pm)
total crap if there was god what created god?
Vexillographer (December 30, 2008 at 11:11 pm)
No, did you hear the video? The Big Bang apparently created time, matter, space, and energy. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that matter alone cannot create more matter, and it cannot destroy itself. The Big Bang violates this law, therefore it is busted. This also makes the solar nebula theory busted, which makes the theory of evolution busted, which means that intelligent design is true. ;-) Can't explain that, can you, Mr. Religion-Disguised-As-Science Man? :-P
Vexillographer (December 30, 2008 at 11:06 pm)
There was no dot. ;-)
calebbj (December 30, 2008 at 4:21 pm)
total crap if there was big bang what created the big bang
Zaneirth (December 30, 2008 at 3:52 pm)
there is one thing i wanna know.. how the big bang started like we know that particles were there ect ect but how did the particles get there? i wonder how they got there in the first place. did they just appere out of no where? like there was a blank paper and a dot just happened to form with no action by another .. or was the Dot made and put there by someone or something
ukidding (December 30, 2008 at 10:26 am)
time is a record of movement. no movement= no time
ericinnit1 (December 29, 2008 at 8:56 pm)
Scientists agree the universe had a beginning. Infinity in time is impossible anyway.
