Every touring Cirque show has been filmed and comes in a seperate dvd. They sometimes have extras like interviews, making ofs, etc.The only permanent show that has been filmed is La Nouba.

Thanks for the response! I have "Fire Within" as a series but I thought Solstrom was a full Cirque show. Thank you for clarifying that....does each Cirque show come in individual dvds of just the show itself?
Corteomburo (October 29, 2008 at 9:37 am)
Okay, Solstrom is a tv series from Cirque, which features acts from seasoned Cirque performers as well as other acrobats. The new filmings of the acts are very good, but I'd not reccomend buying the dvds as the non-cirque acts are not all as high-quality and the total product is not up to scratch. If you want a good tv series from cirque, buy fire within.

Ok. I am a big fan of the Cirque but I am not really familiar with Solstrom. When I watched this video I was confused because this looks like the exact same act as the arial straps routine from Varekai even down to the costumes. Those are the same looks the twins had from Varekai.....can someone clue me in?

Guys, if you don't like the music behind it, mute the sound and watch these guys! I saw them in rehearsal without any music at all and I was truely stunned:)

In my opinion, I think Zara's version is much *coughmuchcough* better.
madonvibes (August 12, 2008 at 4:09 pm)
Wow she really did butcher this song :(
Totally kills the mood.

well i sing opera and i don't see anything wrong with her technique(besides my original comment was about her tessitura not her technique)actually Laur Fugere is one of the few Cirque du soleil singers who actually have a study of sing and do have "bel canto" technique(that is base of every technique) but here she's not singing opera, she's singing according to what is needed for this part, being nasty because u "can" is not going to make u a better person...don't see it as an insult see it as tip
superfreakzz (July 29, 2008 at 7:04 pm)
You're right, I am not an expert voice teacher or a professional musician, but I am a singer and I know good vocal technique when I hear it. Some people like Laur, for what reason I don't know, some others dislike her. Your opinion is yours and my opinion is mine. I was trying to be nasty on purpose or insulting Laur just because I can.Maybe you should follow your own rule and get to know me before you start insulting me.

oh "dying cat with it's nose pinched" that shows how many knowledge do u have about the human voice, probably u r an expert voice teacher or a superb musician...wait no real musician would ever say something like that so u probably r just some ignorant person who loves to bitching on people that u don't even know
superfreakzz (July 29, 2008 at 12:57 am)
Doesn't sound anything like a "light soprano" to me. Sounds like a dying cat with it's nose pinched.
superfreakzz (July 29, 2008 at 12:56 am)
El PenduloUnfortunately, Laur butchered it. Zara Tellander was the original singer
superfreakzz (July 29, 2008 at 12:56 am)
No it's not

I believe the bald guy is the one who plays Icarus.
mcirque (May 11, 2008 at 6:05 pm)
This song was actually composed for a soprano/high-mezzo, so imho, it's not that risky for her to sing this.Ballare is sung by Estelle Esse on Solstrom, not Laur.
I have a lot of respect for her vocal technique, but it was a big mistake letting her sing all these songs. I still to this day don't understand why they let Zara sing Vocea and not El Pendulo. And that goes for a lot of songs (Debbie, AerialContortion in Silk)

In my opinion, Mathieu fit the part better (Craig's great though!) But I really did like Mathieu version of Moon Licht
Heartlessiceboy (March 2, 2008 at 9:36 pm)
I think is very admirable(and risky from her voice)for Laur Fugere who is a light soprano to sing this, ballare(the aerial pas de deux from Dralion)and all the rest of the song that were composed from so many diferent vocal ranges.Kevin and Andrew Rocks by the way
Jonesdigipics (February 24, 2008 at 11:02 pm)
how are they doing that?!?!
superfreakzz (January 22, 2008 at 10:18 pm)
Me, too. I think Zara is the best there will ever be!
chocobowing (January 22, 2008 at 4:06 pm)

superfreakzz (November 3, 2007 at 2:56 am)

kittycat2387 (September 27, 2007 at 3:30 am)

RentRoxBway22 (September 20, 2007 at 2:06 am)
The bald guy, is that Guy? The founder of Cirque?
