2 hours of stretching in DANCE class.. that would be to enhance your flexability (ballet anyone?) this is totally enough stretching to limber out. : )

If you stretch a muscle for over 20-30 seconds it becomes ineffective. You can stretch for 3 minutes for one muscle group, but you are just wasting your time. LOL,2 hours stetching? Like I said, as a swimmer/runner I can stretch under 8 minutes and pull great times out without any injuries, and feeling great right after stretching.

yet in the new england journal of medicine they ran several studies saying how there was an increase since the 80's of people getting into the running craze, yet spiking in muscle injury and pulling due to improper length of stretch pre and post running. they said 30 minutes minimum to do a proper stretch.
as a dancer we had whole classes of just stretching. and that's a lot longer than 30 minuts, like 2 hours.

Wrong. You are not supposed to stretch one muscle for over 20 seconds. When I ran track, i could pull a 4 minute mile with under 5 minute stretching. When I swim, I could swim for over 2 hours with under 5 minutes of stretching. The list goes on and on.

8 minutes is hardly time enough to stretch any one section of the muscles. this is really a bad video. other than giving you ideas, it's awful and misleading.
go run a 10k after 8 minutes of stretching see if you don't endup stretched out on the side of the road in someones ambulance.
